Changed our name and logo

Derman is the new name for The Health Advocacy and Counselling Services for Turkish and Kurdish Speaking Communities. Now with a new name meaning strength, cure, resolution and a new logo, Derman is expanding into new areas of need and aims.

New projects

Education Advocacy-- is one of our new initative funded by BBC Children in Need. We offer to Kurdish and Turkish parents, children and their schools to help them all raise the educational achievement of Kurdish and Turkish speaking children. This project will start in December 2002.

Probation Support-- We are launching a new and exciting project in partnership with L.B.Hackney Community Safety Team and National Probation Service London Area. We will work with offenders in our communities to reduce re-offending. Probation Support Worker will be appointed in October 2002.

Stopped Welfare Rights Service

Due to staff change we had to stop providing welafre rights service. We will be informing you on this website about restarting date of the project.
