Probation
Support
We
are launching a new initiative in partnership with L.B.
Hackney Community Safety Team and National
Probation Service for England and Wales. The aim of this project
is to work with offenders and those released from prison in our
communities to reduce re-offending. We will appoint the probation
support worker shortly and the
post will be located within the Probation Office in Hackney. We
will update you on our website about deatils of the probation service.
What
we offer
- Providing advice and guidance to the probation service about
the Turkish and Kurdish speaking communities
- Liaising with the other community organisations
- Developing a resource pack
- Providing language and cultural support to ex-offenders
- Increasing the number of Turkish and Kurdish speaking offenders
accessing the services for substance misusers, education, training
and employment provision etc.
- Planning the service to be delivered to offenders including
referral to partnership agencies
